Easter at The Piano Mill 2018

A sonic treasure hunt for music, art, and architecture, directed by Vanessa Tomlinson

This year featured the premieres of three new compositions for The Piano Mill by Louise Denson (Mill Life), Lynette Lancini (megaMammal) and Vanessa Tomlinson (Lucy and Bubbles). 

The Camerata String Quartet and composer Erik Griswold, performed the premiere of Hollows out of time, for prepared piano and string quartet, launching Bruce Wolfe’s stunning new chamber music venue “Lagavulin” with new artwork by Renata Buziak.

World Premier of new sound installation by Bruce Wolfe LC Spinner, musical bus ride led by Jodie Rottle, improvisational encounters on the Bruce Highway, performances at Dam George, the launch of the new Bloom Collective installation Piano Bloom, bush listening installation, plus music from Stephen Adams performed with Hannah Reardon-Smith and Merinda Dias Jayasinha.

Featuring Kristin Berardi (voice), Steve Newcomb (piano), Sam Pankhurst (Bass) and Vanessa Tomlinson spinning L.C.Spinner (created by Bruce Wolfe) at the Piano Mill event 2018.  This performance takes place on Dam George at the Harrigans Lane property, Easter Sunday 2018.

 

 

The Feels on the Bus

Musical happenings aboard a mini bus, touring through the forest on the way to the "Arborial Folly." Featuring Jodie Rottle - Flute & voice, Rebecca Lloyd-Jones, percussion, and special guest driver "Pierre".
